A very nice Celtic spiral bronze bracelet Intact and in good metal. Has a small old label attached to it. 69mm x34mm This comes from a collection of Celtic artefacts found in the late 19th century at Chatelaudren in the Cotes-d'Armor (Brittany) which is an ancient core area for the Celtic tribes. The pieces came to London in the early 1900s and were in the collection of Gawain McKinley in France and later in the Peter Sharrer collection. If the information is reliable, and one can only go on the old labels stuck on some of the objects, then these pieces may well be from the Coriosolites Celts of the Armorican Celts. Middle to Late La Tène 300 BC -100 B.C |
