This is really a "must" for this section!

Offered as a genuine Egyptian antiquity with a certificate of authenticity!

I had thought the above would win this year's prize in this section but look what the eBay seller allfromegypt-com is offering.

As Egyptian Pre-Dynastic !

I am submitting the Item number: 250273770522, "Authentic Marble Sumerian Musician Extremely Rare Piece" as the fake of the week.

The seller, aothentica, gives the following description:

"Extremely rare piece of Sumerian History and the Mesopotamia area.

"CIRCA - 3rd Millenium/ Late Sumerian.

"MATERIAL - Marble

"MEASURES - 6 3/4 Inches in Height / 4.0 Inches in width "weight - about 1 1/2 Pound "Provenance:Dr.Rana Chaker "Condition:Intact/ No repairs "Appraisal Value: $4,500 "This marvelous artifact comes with a Letter of Authenticity."

Take a look to the "writing" in the top of the piece. It seems to me that the faker does not know that cuneiform comes from Latin cuneus, meaning wedge. He translated as nail.

After a long time, a new submission!>>>>
