Here is a funerary cone for a royal scribe during the reign of Amenhotep II called Thutnefer.  His tomb,  number TT104 is in the Theban necropolis. Thutnefer was also an overseer of the royal treasury. The names of his wife and daughter are also known: Takhat and Nefertari. He also owned the tomb TT80. Both tombs are at Sheikh Abd el-Qurna.

The cone reads: honoured by Osiris, royal scribe,Thutnefer, true of voice.

Tip lost as with so many funerary cones.

110mm x 74mm.

Mid 18th dynasty. circa 1400 BC - 1427 BC
