These are from my own collection.

A group of Archaic Greek terracotta  votive objects. Probably Corinthian.

This group comes from an old collection and were most
likely excavated together.

They have managed to remain together for over 2500 years
and  I would very much prefer that they
remain together.

Hence I offer them as a group and would want a
(plausible) undertaking by any prospective purchaser that the group would not
be broken up and the pieces dispersed individually.

Such votives are associated with sanctuaries devoted to
Demeter and her daughter Kore , otherwise known as Persephone.

Demeter was the goddess of the grain, agriculture,
harvest, growth, and nourishment, who presided over grains and the fertility of
the earth.

Archaic Greek

6th – 5th century BC

Ex my own collection. Acquired in London over 35 years
ago.

I really would ideally like to keep the group together and would much prefer not selling these individually. The prices add up to £2390. If anyone would take all together, then only £2250.

Very useful
