This pair of  rarther graceful Sui Dynasty straw glazed lady court attendants have been together in my own collection for a very long time. They have been standing together like this on a  shelf here, endlessly chatting away, for so many years,  that I couldn't part with them other than as a pair. They really must stay together!

Each has her hair is arranged in a typical top knot and they wear  the traditional court attire, known as ruqun.

Each 185mm high. Both intact.

Sui dynasty 581 AD -n 618 AD
This was a short-lived imperial dynasty of China of pivotal significance.
The Sui unified the Northern and Southern dynasties and reinstalled the rule of ethnic Han in the entirety of China
