Three silver Antinoniniani of the Emperor Gordian III in very fine condition.

Gordian III, Marcus Antonius Gordianus,  born in 225  and Roman emperor from 238 to 244.
The soldiers proclaimed him Emperor in July, A.D. 238, after the murder of Balbinus and Pupienus.
He defeated the Persians in 242. He was assassinated in 244 and succeeded by Philippus.

He had a rather individualistic face with a pronounced upper lip which is shown very accurarely on his coins
