Etruscan Bucchero is a distinctive type of pottery that was
produced in central Italy from the 7th to the 5th centuries BC. It is
typified by its fine, smooth clay of a black or dark grey colour and by a
shiny polished surface. It was distributed across Etruria but also
throughout central Italy. It was also exported further afield. Most
Bucchero is tableware
i.e., serving, drinking eating or storage vessels.
