There are hardly any items for sale beyond page 29 on the gallery here.

I have left so many sold items on show (and in the sold archive) as many collectors have said they find such photos and information useful to have.

This reclining female figure is in a semi translucent white marble (alabaster)
Sadly, she lacks her head but is nevertheless a rather fine piece.
There is a very old repair which one can hardly see from the front view; but can see on the back.
Jorge had raised the question, soon after I showed this, as to whether this is actually one of the reasonably well known Parthian alabaster reclining ladies.
I'm sticking with it being Greek.
The carved suppost for the upper arm in the Parthian pieces is usually rather  more delicate.
It appears to have  been part of a larger piece; there is albeit equivical evidence for a very old shear surface where indicated on the pics.
And not least, the Parthian ladies are naked; this one is not.
However there is a tiny hole drilled up into the left arm ; where it had previously rested on a pin so it could easily be set on a plinth again. On the other hand, could this actually be where the upper part of the left arm was pinned?
122mm
From Alexandria.
2nd cenutury BC.
From the same old collection as the lovely Hellensitic head I have.
Price: sold GBP
